Hello, everyone! The Unclouded Path is now up and running! Check back every week for new posts!
The purpose of this site is to provide accurate and relevant information for young adults who are confused by all the conflicting material on the Internet. These days, anyone can post something about anything without having to go through any sort of fact-checker. The result is a mess of misinformation, dubious claims, and sometimes outright lies. The useful information, if any, is often lost in the mix. To illustrate, I like to use the example of (di)hydrogen monoxide. (Di)hydrogen monoxide is:
- colorless, odorless, and tasteless
- found in all types of cancer cells
- widely present in municipal tap water
- the primary component of acid rain
- fatal if inhaled, even in small quantities
- the second leading cause of death of children under 12 in the US
Sounds like a pretty dangerous substance, right? So why isn’t this chemical compound regulated at all? Well, because it’s H2O. Wait…water?! Yup. But what about all that scary-sounding stuff? Let’s go through them. Water is definitely colorless, odorless, and tasteless. All cells, cancerous or not contain water. Tap water is water. Water makes up most of acid rain. Inhaling water is another way of saying drowning. And drowning is the second leading cause of death in children under 12 in the US. As you can see, all of it’s true. But it’s misleading. And that’s what a lot of information online is like. What if the substance wasn’t as easily identifiable as water? Would you still be able to tell if the information is accurate and not misleading? It can get difficult sometimes, which is why this site endeavors to bring you the best information possible.
Knowledge is the key to self-empowerment, and I hope by reading the posts on this site, you’ll learn something that helps you in life. Thanks for visiting, and if you like something you read on this site, please don’t forget to share it with your friends!
